Chardonnay offers

Chablis bottlesButtery, creamy, lemony, rich, sharp and biscuity are just a few of the flavours found in wines made with the Chardonnay grape. This multi-faceted grape variety can be found growing in hundreds of countries around the world, and there are just as many flavours to be found in the resulting wines. But you won’t have to buy an around the world ticket to taste them, all that is required is a quick trip to the supermarket where luckily you’ll find many on special offer.

Through sheer number Majestic tops this week’s Chardonnay offers list with fifty straight Chardonnay and Chardonnay-blends starting at £4.99 for Luis Felipe Edwards Chilean Mountain View Chardonnay. But to enjoy this offer, and the other forty-nine, you’ll have to buy two or more bottles from the offer wine’s country.

Villa Maria ChardonnayNext in the offers numbers is Tesco where the big-name brands are down to £4.99 or £5: Chilano Signature Chardonnay, Hardy’s Varietal Chardonnay, Jacob’s Creek Chardonnay and their Chardonnay Semillon blend are all down in price until January 31st. But spend another £2 and you can bag yourself Tesco’s best bargain – Villa Maria Private Bin Chardonnay down £3 to £6.99 until February 21st. This is a genuine offer on a complex but ever reliable wine which is worth its full price tag.

But Asda shoppers needn’t bother looking for the ‘Rollback’ offers as they’re already served with three perfectly respectable Chardonnays at their everyday price of £4: Karadoc Station Chardonnay, Arniston Bay Chardonnay and Banrock Station Chardonnay Colombard blend – this last one is also available in a 3-litre winebox version at the same unit price.
